Hamilton Accies' Trent McClenahan has his sights set on being at the World Cup this summer with Australia. And the full-back could take a step closer to realising that ambition this coming Tuesday.
Australia assistant manager Graham Arnold will make the trip to New Douglas Park that night to run the rule over him when Accies face Kilmarnock.
McClenahan said: "He'll be here on Tuesday and it'll be important for me to try to play well."
Arnold also hoped to see McClenahan's Accies team-mate, James Wesolowski, in action against Killie.
However, the 22-year-old midfielder is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, so McClenahan will be the focus of his attention.
"Obviously, first, I've got to try to get a good result for Hamilton and then, hopefully, on the back of that, impress him," said the full-back.
McClenahan, who is 25 next month, represented Australia at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and now he would love to have the opportunity to perform on the biggest footballing stage.
"That was fantastic," he said. "There's a big tradition in Australia about the Olympic Games because we've always performed well. It was a massive honour to go to them and a great experience.
"The Olympic Games was an Under-23 event. So the next step for me is the World Cup - that's my next goal.
"I started off at the Under-20 World Cup in Holland, I've been to the Olympics, so I'm now looking from a national team point of view towards this World Cup and beyond."
McClenahan voiced sympathy for Wesolowski, who is missing a chance to impress Arnold.

"It's unfortunate for James," said McClenahan. "He's had a great season for us so far.
"These things happen and sometimes it opens doors for other players. You've just got to deal with it and move on."
McClenahan is keen to steer clear of injury to give himself every chance of being available should he get the call from Australia.
A hernia problem led to the defender returning to his homeland last summer for treatment before coming back to Hamilton refreshed.
"It'll definitely be an important last four months of the season for me," he added. "Obviously, first, trying to get good results for Hamilton but also trying to put on good performances and impress the national team."
