| Reid encouraged by Accies drive. |
Hamilton Accies manager Billy Reid was encouraged at his side's drive in their 0-0 draw with Motherwell, despite failing to find the net."0-0 draws are never great affairs," said Reid. "Fans come to see goals and, unfortunately, we didn't score a goal. "We started really well with McLaughlin heading off the crossbar then we took our foot off the gas. "We were slightly the better side and might have nicked the game, but I don't have too many complaints." Hamilton looked the more dangerous side for most of the match and Motherwell goalkeeper John Ruddy kept out two good Simon Mensing efforts in the second half as the hosts pushed for an opening that failed to arrive. "We had to step up in the second half and came very close through Mensing, but their goalie pulled off some great saves," said Reid. "We look really solid at the back and we were never troubled for most of the game, but I'm disappointed that we didn't score a goal." Source: BBC Sport |
